LoopCast › Church announcement loop

Set up a church announcement loop.

A weekly routine for pre-service announcements that takes ten minutes to prepare and one click on Sunday.

During the week: make the slides

  1. Design this week’s announcements in Canva, PowerPoint, Keynote or Google Slides at 16:9.
  2. Export them as a PDF, or as images. Each page of a PDF becomes its own slide in LoopCast.
  3. Put the file in a folder called Announcements. Add a countdown video too if you use one.

Organize by service

Make one folder per moment, and each becomes a playlist you can switch between with a click:

  • Welcome: the loop people see as they walk in.
  • Announcements: this week’s slides.
  • Countdown: a countdown video, set to stop when it ends.

Need a version for the second service without one announcement? Duplicate the playlist and hide that slide. The original stays the same.

On Sunday: one click

  1. Open LoopCast on the computer connected to the projector or lobby TV.
  2. Press Show on projector, then play the Welcome playlist.
  3. When the service starts, press Logo (or H) to cover the screen with your church logo, or Black (or B).

Next week

Replace last week’s PDF with this week’s. LoopCast picks it up the next time the loop comes around, so there’s nothing to rebuild.

More about using LoopCast at church is on the churches page.

Ready when the doors open.

Your computer will show a security warning the first time you open it. That’s expected. Here’s why, and what to click.
